Mr. Moore has over 25 years of experience in both public accounting and industry experience.  During his 15 years in public accounting, he worked with both national and local accounting firms and completed his public accounting career as an audit partner serving as an accounting and auditing technical review partner, also in charge of the firm’s system of quality control.

Subsequently, Mr. Moore served as a CFO of a public company and currently provides CFO consulting services to emerging and midsize companies, helping them with their informational and business needs.  For more than 10 years he has:

  • Developed and reorganized financial accounting and reporting departments.
  • Prepared SEC filing for public companies including registration statements, Form 10Ks (annual filings) and Form 10Qs (quarterly filings).
  • Prepared financial statements and implementation of difficult or complex accounting issues.
  • Prepared companies for their financial statement audits, acted as a liaison with the external auditors and consulted with management about the financial accounting implications of various accounting and auditing issues.
  • Managed and restructured accounting departments.
  • Consulted with distressed companies about cash management, cost controls and restructuring strategies.
  • Due diligence consulting in merger and acquisitions for both the buyer and the seller of companies.
  • System of internal accounting control design and implementation.

 Mr. Thompson has 30 years of financial management experience. This includes 20 years as a Chief Financial Officer or Vice President of Finance.  During that time, he was also the Vice President of IT for 15 years.  He has provided financial leadership to both emerging and large multi-national companies.  His unique background provides the ability to provide guidance on many levels of corporate growth. 

Mr. Thompson is not only a CPA, but has his Masters of Business Administration (MBA). He holds additional certifications in both accounting (CMA- Certified Management Accountant), and information systems (CDP- Certified Data Processing).

He has provided the following services to his clients:

  • Prepared financial statements and implementation of difficult or complex accounting issues.
  • Business and asset valuations utilizing the most current valuation techniques including Stock Option and derivative instrument valuations.
  • Design, install and integrate QuickBooks software, as well as train personnel on how to use QuickBooks (Certified QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor).
  • Prepared companies for their financial statement audits, acted as a liaison with the external auditors and consulted with management about the financial accounting implications of various accounting and auditing issues.
  • Consulted with distressed companies about cash management, cost controls and restructuring strategies.
  • Due diligence consulting in merger and acquisitions for both the buyer and the seller of companies.
  • He has designed data rooms for merger and acquisitions and assisted seller finance teams to complete sales quickly with minimal impact on operations.
  • Prepares complex individual, corporate, non-profit and Trust tax returns.
  • Evaluates alternative software and Implemented financial accounting systems.
